Dr. Baah Aye Kusi

Research Fellow

Baah Aye Kusi holds Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees in Finance. He is also a Chartered Financial Economist of the Association of Certified Chartered Economists (ACCE) and a fellow member of the Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM). Dr. Kusi is a senior lecturer at University of Ghana Business School, Ghana and has over 13 years of experience in teaching, researching and consulting in corporate finance, public finance, banking, insurance, entrepreneurship, trade, sustainability, corporate governance and economics at University of Ghana, University of Education, Central University, Ghana Institute of Journalism, University of Ghana, Valley View University, Almond Institute (now Accra Business School), and Blue Crest University College. His research interests include banking operations, financial institutions and regulations, entrepreneurial finance, insurance, corporate governance, economic growth, trade and welfare and financial development and Inclusion and has published over 50 professional and academic papers/articles in top rated journals in Finance, Banking, Governance, Sustainability, Economics and Insurance.

In the last three years, Dr. Kusi  has served as professional and or research consultant on a number of international research/professional projects at University of Ghana Business School, World Bank, African Research Economic Consortium, Oxford Policy Management (United Kingdom Department for International Development - UK-DFID), GIZ, Ghana Port and Harbour Authorities, Bank of Ghana, Development Bank of Ghana, Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, ISSER, National Insurance Commission, Lyme Haus and Bulk Oil Storage and Transport. 
Dr. Kusi also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for a number international and top-rated journal. He is also an external thesis examiner University of Cape Town in South Africa and Valley View University in Ghana and an external examination moderator for Witz Business School in South Africa. He has attended and presented at several academic and professional international conferences and consults for several companies in Ghana. In his leisure time, Dr. Kusi enjoys watching football, playing volley and hanging out with colleagues.
